decorative beam cover

A decorative beam cover is a U-profiled polyurethane element, closed on three sides, used to wrap an existing load-bearing beam or column-beam junction. It conceals a concrete or steel beam and gives it a wooden beam appearance; it is applied to rustic and classical ceilings to clad the existing structure. The polyurethane material is light and is fixed by slipping over the beam with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than real wood, it can be installed by a single person, and it does not rot or attract insects. Polure produces the decorative beam cover in widths and lengths suited to existing beam dimensions.
