Polyurethane Rustic Wood Beam and Log Panel P1940

The P1940 rustic faux timber cladding offers an exceptional way to integrate the rich, warm character of historic log cabins and traditional exposed ceilings into contemporary spaces. Designed as a wide, lightweight plank, this architectural element captures the massive presence of solid wood beams without the associated structural weight, making it an ideal choice for expansive ceiling and wall installations where load-bearing capacity is a concern.

Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the P1940 panel delivers a sturdy, wood-like hardness while remaining remarkably easy to handle. Measuring 35 mm in thickness, 3000 mm in length, and 420 mm in width, it provides substantial surface coverage. Assess water and moisture exposure using the product technical data, surface finish and installation details.

The visual appeal of the P1940 lies in its highly detailed, rustic surface relief. The mold captures deep, organic wood grains, rugged weathered grooves, and authentic knots that mimic centuries-old timber. This intricate texture ensures that once painted, the surface is virtually indistinguishable from genuine hand-hewn lumber, adding tactile depth and a rustic aesthetic to any design scheme.

This versatile panel is highly favored for ceiling decoration in mountain chalets, country-style restaurants, hotel lobbies, and premium residential living rooms. It can also be utilized as a dramatic accent wall, a chimney breast wrap, or even on external facades to create a cabin-like exterior. When used outdoors, applying a UV-resistant topcoat ensures the material retains its integrity and color under direct sunlight.

For a secure setup, the panel is cut easily with standard woodworking tools and mounted using polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive combined with mechanical screws for essential stability. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for finishing, though paint manufacturers typically recommend using their specific primers to validate their paint warranties; therefore, applying an additional primer remains optional based on customer preference. Once installed, it can be coated with any high-quality water-based or synthetic paint to match your color palette.
