Decorative column ornamentation is the general term for the relief motifs, fluting and ornamental elements added to a column surface. It is used to transform a plain column shaft into a classical look; it is applied with leaf, acanthus and geometric motifs in living rooms, entrances and facades. The polyurethane material is light and is applied to the column surface with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than stone and plaster alternatives, it is readily added to an existing column. Because it is mould-cast, the motif details repeat identically across every piece.
