Electric Fireplace Housing

An electric fireplace housing is the polyurethane outer body that encases the electric fireplace unit and creates a defined volume on the wall. It is used in living rooms, lounges and hotel lobbies to position the fireplace as a wall-mounted or recessed feature. The housing pieces are applied to the wall with mounting adhesive, with a top shelf added when needed. The polyurethane material is lightweight, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted; compared with a timber housing it is unaffected by moisture and installs faster.
