It delivers a realistic flame effect and a cozy ambience without the maintenance, smoke, or safety hazards of traditional wood-burning hearths. Designed for modern and classic interiors alike, this high-quality insert serves as the visual centerpiece of any room.
Measuring 750 mm in width, 627 mm in height, and 220 mm in depth, this unit offers a balanced profile that integrates perfectly into standard mantle cavities. Built with a robust metallic frame and a smooth glass front panel, it features a sleek black finish that accentuates the vibrant fire simulation. Unlike traditional units, it operates purely as an aesthetic flame display, making it entirely safe for households with children or pets.
The visual display showcases meticulously crafted artificial logs and embers that glow realistically. This is complemented by an adjustable flame effect controlled easily via the included remote control. The flat, non-reflective glass surface ensures that the focus remains entirely on the warm visual fire display, creating a welcoming focal point in living areas, hotel lobbies, or executive offices.
This insert is ideal for indoor applications such as living room feature walls, integrated TV console units, master bedrooms, and commercial spaces like boutique cafes or reception halls. Assess water and moisture exposure using the product technical data, surface finish and installation details. Combining this unit with a lightweight surround provides a luxurious architectural look with minimal structural load.
Installing the PH20GSI is a straightforward plug-and-play process. It requires a standard electrical outlet and fits directly into the pre-carved recess of a fireplace surround. No flues, chimneys, or complex ventilation systems are necessary. Compared to heavy cast-iron inserts, this lightweight yet durable design offers easy handling and hassle-free positioning during installation.

- Installing the PH20GSI is designed to be a clean and efficient process
- Begin by preparing the recess cavity within your polyurethane fireplace surround or custom wall framing, ensuring the dimensions match the 220x750x627 mm profile
- Provide a dedicated electrical outlet inside or near the cavity for the plug-and-play connection
- Gently slide the insert into the opening
- For a secure fit, utilize the built-in mounting flanges to mechanically fasten the unit to the surrounding structure using appropriate screws
- Ensure the unit is level and flush against the front frame
- Once positioned, plug in the power cord and test the remote control functions
- No silicone should be applied to the metallic casing; any gaps around the decorative frame can be sealed using polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive or specialized acrylic filler before final finishing
- Maintenance for the PH20GSI is minimal due to its electric, clean-operating design
- Before cleaning, always disconnect the unit from the power source
- Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently dust the smooth glass front and the metallic frame
- For fingerprints or light smudges on the glass, a standard glass cleaner applied to a cloth (never sprayed directly onto the unit) is recommended
- Avoid using harsh chemical solvents, abrasive pads, or strong acids, as they can damage the metallic finish
- Periodically inspect the power cord and electrical connections to ensure safety
- This unit is strictly for dry indoor use; protect it from water exposure and high humidity
Can this fireplace insert be used in outdoor areas?
No, the PH20GSI is strictly designed for dry indoor applications. Assess water and moisture exposure using the product technical data, surface finish and installation details.
Does this unit require a chimney or ventilation system?
Not at all. Since the PH20GSI is a fully electric artificial flame unit, it does not produce real fire, smoke, ash, or gas emissions. It is a plug-and-play device that requires only a standard electrical outlet, completely eliminating the need for chimneys or flues.
Is the front glass panel safe to touch while operating?
Yes, the front glass panel remains cool to the touch because the flame effect is generated using energy-efficient LEDs and optical reflections rather than real fire. This makes it exceptionally safe for households with young children and pets.
Can I paint the frame or glass of the PH20GSI insert?
No, the insert features a pre-finished smooth metallic and glass surface that cannot be painted. Any customization or paint should be applied only to the decorative surround hosting the unit.
How does this electric insert compare to traditional wood fireplaces?
The PH20GSI offers a hassle-free, lightweight, and clean alternative to wood fireplaces. It eliminates the need for firewood storage, soot cleaning, and chimney maintenance, while providing a realistic flame aesthetic at the press of a remote control button without any fire hazards.
