Door surround decoration refers to the decorative polyurethane detailing elements applied to the side and top edges of a door opening. It is used together with casings, profiles or relief motifs to frame the area around the door and emphasise the passage. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Unlike wood alternatives, it is not affected by moisture and withstands the moisture and impacts that may occur beside a door.
