door and window crown

A door and window crown is a decorative polyurethane upper element placed above a door or window opening, crowning the opening. It is used to emphasise the top of the opening and give a classical finish to a facade or interior wall. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. When used on an exterior facade, it is unaffected by moisture and weather conditions, and because it is lighter than a stone or plaster crown, installation above the opening is easy. Since it is mould-cast, the crown details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces door and window crowns in a range of sizes and patterns.
