over-door crown ornament

An over-door crown ornament is a decorative polyurethane ornament placed above a door that crowns the entrance. It is used to highlight the doorway and add an architectural accent to the wall surface. The polyurethane is lightweight and applies directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Compared with plaster it is lighter and more resistant to breakage. Because the pieces are mould-cast, the ornament detail repeats identically on every unit.
