Classical decorative moulding is a classical profiled ornamental strip that forms a horizontal line on wall surfaces. It is used as a dividing line at a set height on the wall (a chair-rail moulding), at floor divisions or at the ceiling-to-wall transition. It is mould-cast from polyurethane; the material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster moulding, it speeds installation along long runs and adds no extra load to the surface. Because it is mould-cast, the profile section is identical on every piece, so the line stays continuous at the joints.
