Polyurethane Plain Wall Moulding and Border Profile

The P85025 plain polyurethane border profile is an architectural trim engineered to create clean, structured divisions on walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces. Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, this versatile profile acts as a subtle transition element that enhances contemporary interior layouts and modern facade designs without cluttering the visual field.

Manufactured with a precise width of 28 mm, a height of 62 mm, and a standard length of 2400 mm, the profile is crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³). This material delivers the robust impact resistance of traditional hardwood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell molecular structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, making it completely impervious to moisture, swelling, rot, and insect damage.

Visually, the P85025 features a refined stepped design with a soft cyma-reversa curve at the top that flows smoothly into a flat center, concluding with a distinct step at the bottom. This specific geometry creates sharp, clean shadow lines that define wall panels, wainscoting frames, or ceiling borders. The smooth, flat surface ensures a uniform look that integrates naturally into modern, Nordic, or transitional styles.

This profile is highly functional across a range of settings. Indoors, it is ideal for creating decorative wall paneling (boiserie) in living rooms, dining areas, and hotel corridors. Its waterproof nature makes it equally suitable for high-humidity environments such as luxury bathrooms and spa zones. Outdoors, it serves as an excellent horizontal band or modern window frame trim, provided it is finished with a UV-resistant coating.

Installation is straightforward and efficient compared to heavy plaster or moisture-sensitive MDF. The profiles can be cut easily using standard hand or mitre saws at 45-degree angles. Mounting requires a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mechanical screws for permanent securing. Once the joints and screw holes are filled and sanded, the trim is ready for painting.

The product is supplied with a factory-applied primer that prepares the surface for the final color. However, because paint manufacturers do not guarantee adhesion without their own system primers, applying an additional primer coat is optional and remains at the discretion of the installer.
