A classic ornamentation motif is a polyurethane relief trim element consisting of forms taken from classical architecture, such as acanthus leaves, palmettes, rosettes and scrolls. It is used as a classic decorative detail on ceilings, walls, cornices and column capitals. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than a plaster motif, it is easily applied at high points. Because each piece is mould-cast, the motif details repeat identically across every unit.
