stair balustrade

A stair balustrade is a railing system made up of posts and a handrail that provides safety and support along the edge of a staircase. It is mounted along the side of the stairwell and acts as both a functional grip and a decorative element. The polyurethane balustrade components are lightweight and applied with assembly adhesive and mechanical fixings; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Compared with timber they are unaffected by moisture, and compared with plaster they are lighter and more break-resistant. Because they are moulded, the profile and post details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces stair balustrade components as handrails, posts and newels in different sizes.
