Furniture decoration models describe the various design options available for polyurethane ornamental pieces applied to furniture surfaces. Models such as classic floral appliqués, baroque centerpieces, symmetrical corner pieces and profiles are chosen to match the style of the furniture. They are used on the fronts of cabinets, display units, wardrobes and headboards. Polyurethane is lighter than carved wood and is applied directly with wood glue or assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted.
