Furniture ornamental motifs refer to the different pattern and figure options found on polyurethane decorative pieces applied to furniture surfaces. Motifs such as leaves, flowers, scrolls and geometric forms are used as decorative elements on cabinet doors, drawer fronts and furniture crowns. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. It is lighter than carved wood and more break-resistant than plaster. Because it is mould-cast, motif details repeat identically on every piece.
