Modern ceiling border is a flat-lined, plain-section polyurethane transition profile applied to the junction of the ceiling and wall. It frames the ceiling edge and gives a neat junction line. Unlike classic ornamented cornices, understated and crisp sections are preferred. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Compared with plaster border it does not break and installs faster; the joints are filled with filler to achieve a seamless line. Once painted it blends with the ceiling or wall colour.
