Modern ceiling rose is a flat, plain-patterned polyurethane decorative element applied to the centre of the ceiling, framing the chandelier or lighting outlet. Unlike classic embossed roses, geometric, ring-shaped or flat-lined plain forms are preferred. It adds emphasis to the centre of the ceiling and frames the lighting. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly to the ceiling with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Compared with a plaster rose it is lightweight, does not break and installs faster. Once painted it blends with the ceiling colour.
