carved ceiling panel
A carved ceiling panel is a polyurethane decorative board with relief patterns that have a carved appearance, applied as a covering to the ceiling. It is placed side by side to divide the ceiling surface into sections or to give the entire ceiling a patterned look. In classic and neoclassical ceiling designs it is applied together with cornice and medallion. The polyurethane material is light; it is fixed to the ceiling with mounting adhesive and supported with screws where needed. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted; because it is lighter than a wood panel, ceiling installation is easy. Since it is cast in a mould, the carved patterns on the panel repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces carved ceiling panels in various patterns and sizes.
