panelled pilaster

A panelled pilaster is a half-recessed polyurethane decorative column element with a panel (coffer) detail on its body. Unlike the plain-bodied pilaster, it carries a recessed frame or coffer section on its front face, which adds depth and a classic movement to the surface. It is used for vertical partitioning in living rooms, entrance halls and interior facade surfaces, and for framing around doors and windows. It is mould-cast from polyurethane; it is light, applied directly with mounting adhesive, and resistant to moisture and impact. It does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being light compared to its plaster equivalent makes installation easier. Mould production ensures the panel details repeat identically in every piece.
