pilaster column foot

A pilaster column foot is the polyurethane base element at the lower part of a pilaster column, supporting the column body and raising it above floor level. It is used on interior and exterior facade walls as the lower termination of the pilaster column system. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is fixed directly to the wall with mounting adhesive and, where needed, screws. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted; compared with its plaster or timber equivalent it is lighter and more resistant to breakage.
