polyurethane ceiling rose

A polyurethane ceiling rose is a circular or polygonal polyurethane decorative element with relief motifs, placed on a ceiling or wall surface. Its most common use is to surround the chandelier outlet on the ceiling, creating a decorative backdrop for the chandelier; it is also used on its own as ornamentation on walls and over doors. The polyurethane material is lightweight, glued directly to the ceiling with construction adhesive, and the chandelier cable passes through the hole in its centre. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted; because it is far lighter than a plaster rose, installation is practical. Because it is mould-produced, the motif details repeat the same on every part. Polure produces ceiling roses in various diameter and motif options using moulds.
