smooth half column

A smooth half column is a straight polyurethane column element with no flutes on its surface and a shaft split in half. It is applied against a wall to show the column's half profile projecting from the wall; it is used to give a column look without taking up space, instead of a full column. It is preferred on facade, entrance, and interior walls. Polyurethane is light and is applied directly to the wall with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, or peel, and can be painted. Its flat surface gives a plain, smooth look. Because it is mould-cast, the cross-section is standard. Polure produces the smooth half column in a range of diameters and heights.
