rustic ceiling rose
A rustic ceiling rose is a wood-textured or roughly textured, rustic-look polyurethane decorative rose element placed at the centre of the ceiling. It is used around chandelier and lighting outlets as ceiling ornamentation suited to the rustic style. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Unlike real wood it does not absorb moisture and swell and is not attacked by insects, and compared with a plaster rose it is lighter and more break-resistant. Because the surface pattern is mould-produced, it repeats identically on every piece. Polure produces rustic ceiling roses in a range of diameters and textures.
