A coffee table base column is a column-shaped polyurethane decorative support element used to hold or raise a coffee table or tabletop surface. It is placed under a glass or wooden top to form a decorative coffee table leg. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is fixed with assembly adhesive and is easier to carry than wood or stone. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, does not swell and can be painted. Because the column body and capital details are mould-produced, they repeat the same on every piece.
