Every Polure Badastrol is shipped with a factory-applied primer (primer) that prepares the surface for subsequent paint coats. However, please note that paint manufacturers generally do not guarantee their coatings unless their proprietary primers are applied directly to the substrate. Therefore, applying an additional primer layer prior to final painting is optional and remains at the customer’s discretion. Polure does not guarantee paint performance or accept liability for paint-related issues.
For all exterior applications, applying a high-quality UV-resistant paint is mandatory. Uncoated polyurethane can experience yellowing and surface degradation when exposed to direct solar radiation.

Apply a high-strength polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive to both the bottom and top contact surfaces of the spindle. Do not use silicone adhesives under any circumstances, as they do not provide the necessary chemical bonding strength. Securing each spindle mechanically with screws is mandatory to ensure structural safety. Drive screws through hidden points into the base and handrail. Fill all joints, screw holes, and connection points with an exterior-grade joint putty. Once dry, sand the areas smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper. Apply an optional primer coat followed by two coats of high-quality UV-resistant paint for outdoor installations.
Care Information
Maintaining your polyurethane Badastrol balusters requires minimal effort. For routine cleaning, wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive household detergent. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents, high-pressure washers, or abrasive scrubbing brushes, as these can compromise the protective paint layers. We recommend conducting an annual visual inspection of the balustrade system. Check the joints, connection points, and putty fills for any signs of movement or hairline cracks caused by natural building settling. If any gaps appear, they can be easily resealed with exterior-grade putty, lightly sanded, and touched up with matching paint. While the underlying polyurethane core is designed to last for decades, maintaining the integrity of the protective paint coating ensures the balusters retain their pristine appearance indefinitely.
