A wood-effect ceiling moulding is a polyurethane profile that gives a wood-textured look at the ceiling or the ceiling-to-wall junction. It is used as a border or cladding element along ceiling edges. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly to the surface with assembly adhesive and is easily cut with a saw. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is not attacked by insects and does not warp in humid environments. As it is mould-cast, the wood grain pattern repeats identically every metre. Polure produces wood-effect ceiling mouldings in a range of widths and patterns.
