wood-alternative carving
Wood-alternative carving is a wood-look polyurethane decorative relief element used in place of real carved woodwork. It is used to give a carved ornamental look to furniture, doors, cabinets and wall surfaces. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with assembly adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Compared with hand-carved wood it is not attacked by insects, is unaffected by moisture and, being mould-cast, repeats the same detail on every piece, which lowers the cost. Polure produces wood-alternative carvings in a range of sizes and patterns.
