Decorative Poliüretan Wall Ornament and Furniture Applique

The P8099 decorative ornament is a premium architectural element designed to elevate interior walls, cabinetry, and ceilings with classical European style. Bridging historical carving techniques with modern material engineering, this relief applique provides an efficient way to introduce high-end architectural character to standard residential and commercial spaces.

Engineered with a height of 275 mm, a width of 190 mm, and a relief depth of 19 mm, the ornament is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³). This closed-cell structure ensures excellent dimensional stability, meaning it will not warp, shrink, or crack over time. With a water absorption rate of under 1% and a temperature resistance ranging from -20°C to +80°C, it delivers long-lasting durability in both dry and highly humid environments.

Visually, the piece showcases a detailed baroque-inspired composition. A central floral rosette is crowned by a delicate acanthus leaf fan, while the lower section features a heart-shaped scrollwork frame enclosing a classical palmette motif. The entire design tapers down to an elegant hanging pendant drop. The deep, crisp relief lines capture ambient light beautifully, casting dramatic shadows that add depth to flat surfaces.

This ornament is highly versatile, finding its place as corner decorations on wall paneling (boiserie), decorative accents on fireplace mantels, headboards, and wardrobe doors, or as decorative extensions around ceiling medallions. In commercial settings like boutique hotels, classical restaurants, or luxury offices, it adds a polished, historical layer of detail. When coated with a UV-resistant paint, it can also be safely installed on exterior facades to embellish door pediments and window surrounds.

Compared to heavy, fragile plaster (gypsum) or moisture-sensitive wood, this lightweight alternative is remarkably easy to install. The mounting process requires applying polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive to the back, pressing it onto a clean surface, and securing it mechanically with small brad nails or screws. Once fixed, joint edges and screw heads are filled, sanded with 180-220 grit sandpaper, optionally primed, and finished with two coats of paint to achieve a seamless, professional appearance.
