wood-alternative ornament
A wood-alternative ornament is a wood-look polyurethane decorative element used in place of real wood ornamentation. It is used for ornamentation on furniture, doors, walls and ceiling surfaces. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is glued directly with assembly adhesive and the work is quick. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is not attacked by insects, is unaffected by moisture and, being series-produced, is more affordable. As it is mould-cast, the ornament details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces wood-alternative ornaments in a range of sizes and patterns.
