It is used to give a carved ornamental look to furniture, doors, cabinet fronts and wall surfaces. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with assembly adhesive and the work is quick. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Compared with hand-carved wood it is not attacked by insects, is unaffected by moisture and, being mould-cast, repeats the same detail on every piece.
