wood imitation
Wood imitation is the general name for polyurethane decoration products given a real wood texture and appearance. They are used as an alternative to wood in products such as mouldings, panels, beams and slats. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with assembly adhesive, and installation is faster than with wood. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is not attacked by insects, does not warp and does not deform in humid conditions. As it is mould-cast, the wood grain pattern repeats on every piece. Polure produces wood-imitation products in a range of sizes and patterns.
