decorative coving strip
A decorative coving strip is a thin polyurethane ornamental strip applied to the ceiling edge or wall. It is used to frame the ceiling-wall transition or create decorative lines on the wall surface. Polyurethane is lightweight; the strip is applied directly to the surface with mounting adhesive and the corners are joined by mitre cutting. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and unlike plaster strips it does not break and is easier to handle. The surface can be painted over primer. Because it is mould-cast, the profile details of the strip repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces the decorative coving strip in different width and pattern options.
