decorative column base

A decorative column base is a polyurethane element forming the lowest section where a column meets the floor, with a profile wider than the shaft. It defines the foot of the column and visually seats the shaft on the floor; it is used in living rooms, entrances and facades as the bottom piece of classical column sets. The polyurethane material is light and is applied beneath the column shaft with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than stone and plaster alternatives, it is easy to install. Because it is mould-cast, the profile details repeat identically across every piece. Polure produces the decorative column base to match various diameters and shaft sizes.
