Decorative Polyurethane Column Base Pedestal Model

The P5950B architectural base is engineered to provide a structural transition between vertical columns and floor surfaces. Designed for both interior and exterior application, this robust pedestal acts as an aesthetic anchor, wrapping around structural supports or standing as an independent decorative feature. It serves as an ideal solution for premium architectural projects requiring classical proportions without the excessive weight of stone or concrete.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane with a rating of 150-220 kg/m³, the base offers a wood-like hardness that resists physical impacts. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, making it highly resistant to rot, swelling, and moisture damage. With dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, the material guarantees high dimensional stability, preventing the warping or cracking common in timber or plaster alternatives.

Visually, the P5950B features a refined, multi-tiered profile. The design begins with a solid cylindrical plinth at the bottom, stepping upward into two distinct, smooth convex torus moldings separated by a sharp horizontal groove. This graduated composition creates deep shadow lines, accentuating the classical silhouette of the column base. The smooth, factory-primed surface ensures that every curve is perfectly defined and free of surface imperfections.

This versatile base is commonly applied to entrance porticos, veranda supports, grand hotel lobbies, and classical residential facades. It is designed to effortlessly encase load-bearing steel or concrete pillars, instantly transforming structural elements into decorative features. It is equally suited for high-traffic indoor venues like reception halls, restaurants, and luxury retail spaces where durability is key.

For installation, the base is secured using polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mandatory mechanical screws for long-term stability. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for finishing; however, applying an additional paint-specific primer is optional and depends on the paint manufacturer's warranty guidelines. Outdoor installations must be finished with two coats of UV-resistant paint to prevent yellowing over time.
