Decorative column cladding is a polyurethane cladding application made of two or more pieces that wrap around an existing structural column or reinforced concrete beam. It is used to transform a bare reinforced concrete column into a classical or modern column appearance; it is applied in living rooms, entrance halls and open offices. The polyurethane material is light and the pieces are joined with assembly adhesive to encircle the column; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than stone and plaster cladding, it installs quickly and cleanly and adds no extra structural load. Because it is mould-cast, the surface and fluting details repeat identically across every piece. Polure produces decorative column cladding in sizes suited to the existing column diameter.
