decorative dome

A decorative dome is a polyurethane ornamental element that creates a half-sphere depth on a ceiling or above a niche. It is used beneath chandeliers, in entrance halls, and above niches to add architectural volume to a ceiling. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than a plaster dome, it is easy to install on the ceiling and needs no additional support. Cast in a mould, the inner surface and edge details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces decorative domes in various diameters and depths.
