Joints can be filled with acrylic sealant and sanded smooth with 180-220 grit paper. While the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for coating, paint manufacturers only guarantee their products when applied over their own primers; therefore, an additional primer coat is optional and at the discretion of the customer.
