Decorative log profiles are polyurethane log profile options in various sections and textures that give the look of a tree trunk on a ceiling. With sections such as full log, half log, and corner log, they are used in rustic ceiling and beam designs. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied with construction adhesive and concealed screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than real wood, it adds no load to the ceiling, attracts no insects, and is unaffected by moisture. Cast in a mould, the wood grain repeats identically on every piece.
