A decorative fireplace crown is the profiled polyurethane finishing element that sits at the top of a fireplace and crowns its front. In decorative fireplace setups it is mounted along the upper edge to give the fireplace a classic finish. The polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and is paintable.
