patterned pilaster

A patterned pilaster is a polyurethane column element with a relief motif on its surface, applied half-recessed into the wall. It is used beside doors and windows and on wall surfaces to create a vertical line and a classical facade effect. It is usually applied together with a base plinth and a top capital. The polyurethane material is lightweight and goes on directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, peel or warp, and can be painted. It is far lighter than stone and plaster equivalents and installs quickly. As the relief is mould-formed, the same motif repeats on every piece. Polure produces patterned pilasters in a range of widths, motifs and lengths; they can be painted for use both indoors and outdoors.
