patterned column

A patterned column is a polyurethane decorative column with a relief motif on its surface, giving the look of a vertical support. It is used indoors and on exterior facades to accent transition points and create a classical architectural effect; it is usually completed with a base and a capital. The polyurethane material is lightweight and goes on with assembly adhesive and, where needed, a mechanical fixing; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, peel or warp, and can be painted. It is far lighter than stone and concrete and easy to transport and install. As the relief is mould-formed, the same motif repeats on every shaft. Polure produces patterned columns in a range of diameters, lengths and motifs; they can be painted for use both indoors and outdoors.
