patterned ceiling rose

A patterned ceiling rose is a round or oval polyurethane decorative element with a relief design on its surface, applied to the centre of the ceiling. It is used to frame the area around a chandelier or light fitting and to decorate the ceiling centre. It is common in classical and neoclassical interiors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and goes on directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, peel or warp, and can be painted. It is far lighter than a plaster ceiling rose, can be installed by one person and takes little time. As the relief is mould-formed, the same motif repeats on every piece. Polure produces patterned ceiling roses in a range of diameters and motifs; they can be painted to match the ceiling colour.
