patterned cornice

Patterned cornice is a polyurethane border profile with a relief motif on its surface, applied to the line where the ceiling meets the wall. It is used to frame the ceiling edge, decorate the joint line and create concealed lighting; it is common in classical and neoclassical interiors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and goes on directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, peel or warp, and can be painted. Compared with plaster equivalents it is lighter, easy to cut and quick to install. As the relief is mould-formed, the same motif repeats on every piece and the pattern stays continuous at the joints. Polure produces patterned cornice in a range of widths and motifs; after installation it can be painted to match the wall colour.
