exterior facade band moulding

An exterior facade band moulding is a projecting polyurethane moulding profile used on a building facade to emphasise a floor division or the sill line below windows. It usually runs along the facade as a horizontal band and gives the facade a shadow line and depth. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly with facade adhesive; it resists moisture, frost and UV exposure, does not crack or swell and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Compared with plaster and stone equivalents it adds no load and installs quickly. Polure produces exterior facade band moulding profiles in different sections and sizes using moulds, so the profile section stays the same along the facade.
