An exterior facade door frame is a polyurethane decorative element surrounding the opening of a building's exterior door. It is used to emphasise the entrance door on the facade and to give the door edges a clean framed look. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed to the facade with mounting adhesive and mechanical fasteners. It resists moisture, rain and UV; it does not crack, blister or rot and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being far lighter than a stone frame, installation is easy, and compared with wood it does not absorb moisture or rot. Because it is mould-produced, the frame profile continues in the same cross-section on all edges and the corner joints come out clean.
