Exterior facade string course and border refers together to polyurethane decorative elements comprising a string-course profile that forms a horizontal line between floors and a border profile that frames the facade surface. They are used together to emphasise floor transitions and panel edges. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed to the facade with mounting adhesive and mechanical fasteners. It resists moisture, rain and sun; it does not crack, blister or rot and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being far lighter than stone equivalents, they add no load to the facade and speed up installation; compared with wood they do not absorb moisture. Because they are mould-produced, the string-course and border profiles continue in the same cross-section along the whole facade.
