wall pilaster capital

A wall pilaster capital is a polyurethane decorative piece that completes the top of a half-embedded pilaster body on a wall. It acts as a classical architectural capital where the pilaster meets the ceiling or cornice line. It is used to provide the upper finish for pilaster applications on living room, entrance hall and reception walls. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Because the capital is mould-cast, details such as leaves, volutes and flutes repeat identically on every part. Unlike timber it does not swell in moisture, and it carries a lower risk of breakage than plaster. Polure produces wall pilaster capitals to match different pilaster widths.
