A wide polyurethane surround is a profile with a broad cross-section that creates a wide frame around door and window openings. It is used to emphasise the edges of doors and windows and to form a decorative border on a facade or interior wall. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall surface with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture, impact and, on the exterior facade, sunlight, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Despite being broad, it is light compared to plaster and wood, so it installs quickly and adds no extra load to the frame.
