Silver-Leaf Decoration

Silver-leaf decoration is a metallic-looking finish achieved by applying silver-coloured leaf to the surface of polyurethane decorative products. It is used to create metallic emphasis on cornices, casings, ceiling roses, mirror frames and wall appliques; it is preferred in classic and art deco style spaces. The leaf is applied to the polyurethane surface over a primer and gives a silver tone. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact and does not crack, blister or peel.
