A lightweight column is a low-weight column element made from polyurethane that is non-load-bearing and used for ornamentation on facades and in interiors. It is used as a decorative column around entrance doors and at balcony and living room transitions. Polyurethane is much lighter than stone or concrete, so a single person can carry it and it is applied to the surface with construction adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, will not crack or swell, and can be painted. The shaft, capital and base are assembled as separate parts, and because they are moulded, the surface details repeat.
