Interior column cladding is the process of covering load-bearing reinforced concrete columns or steel posts in an interior space with polyurethane column cladding pieces. It is used to turn an exposed rough column into a decorative column look in areas such as living rooms, offices and shops. The polyurethane column cladding is hollow and comes in two half pieces that wrap around the column and are joined with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted any colour. Compared with plaster and stone alternatives, it is much lighter, easy to install and does not absorb moisture and deteriorate.
